I am a British jewellery maker/designer and have been designing and making contemporary jewellery for 15 years. Originally from Bristol I now live in a small village in Central Portugal.
I love anything with a history . I am strongly influenced by ancient jewellery, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, loving the organic texture and simple designs that were often fabricated using just the simplest of tools.
Having been partly self-taught I also create my pieces using the most basic tools and techniques preferring to work in this way.All my pieces are made from Sterling silver and 18ct gold and I use only the best quality semi -precious and precious stones. I use a technique called 'oxidation'on a lot of my pieces(a chemical processthat blackens the metal to give an 'aged 'look).
I have gained success through exhibiting at venues in London and the West Country. My work can be found in galleries across the country
